Kiwis on the run in Hong Kong - the Great Race - Sunday, 15th March 2009
The NZSHK is organising a fun and challenging adventure race called “Kiwis On The Run” to be held on 15th March 2009. Decipher cryptic clues and complete fun challenges to find your way from ‘A’ to ‘B’ to ‘C’ to ‘D’ to ‘E’ using only public transport and your own two feet (no cars or taxis allowed). Individuals and teams of up to 4 persons can join (a special allowance will be made for families of more than two children) and everyone has the chance to win great prizes in many different categories.
To join, you will need (1) an Octopus Card (or plenty of change) for each team member; (2) a map; (3) a digital camera; (4) a mobile phone (to call for assistance if you get lost); and (5) a lot of energy and a sense of humour (most important of all!).
Note - This is a 4+ hour race so it may not be suitable for young children.
What: Kiwis on the Run – an adventure race around Hong Kong
When: Sunday, 15th March, start time 10:30AM
Starting Venue: NZ Focus Centre at Causeway Bay.
Cost: HK$220 for members and HK$280 for non-members or $550 for families (two adults and 2 or more children under 12). Price includes a special event tee-shirt for the first 40 entrants, in-race refreshments and after race food and drinks.
To enter the Great Race please download and complete the entry form and return it together with your payment to GPO Box 8817, Hong Kong. Payment can be made by (1) issuing a cheque made payable to “New Zealand Society of Hong Kong” or (2) making a direct transfer to the NZSHK’s HSBC account number 002 236354 001 and sending us a copy of the receipt. Entry forms must be received by 20th February 2009.
