New Zealand navy Ships Visit - Friday, 1st May 2009
Two ships from the Royal New Zealand Navy - the frigate HMNZS Te Mana and the support vessel HMNZS Endeavour - will be visiting Hong Kong from 30 April to 3 May 2009. Two activities for NZSHK members have been arranged during the visit.
Guided Tour of HMNZS Te Mana
There will be an opportunity for a very limited number of NZSHK members to join a guided tour of HMNZS Te Mana. The total number of places available to NZSHK members is only 12. The tour of the ship takes place on Friday, 1st May 2009, with departure from Fenwick Pier in Wanchai promptly at 9:30AM, returning at 11:30AM.
If you would like to go on the ship please send an email to Travis at kiwi@nzshk.org to reserve your place. Places will be allocated on a ‘first come first served’ basis. To be fair on all members, group bookings will be limited to 4 persons from one family. The following details must be provided for all persons wishing to join the ship tour:
- full name of participants;
- mobile phone number of one of the members of each group;
- people attending the tour will need to bring some form of ID with them to be shown at Fenwick Pier prior to boarding the water taxi.

Welcome Xperience for the Officers and Crew of HMNZS Te Mana and HMNZS Endevour
Later on the same day, the NZSHK has organised a special Welcome Reception for the officers and crew of the two navy ships. The event will be held on Friday, 1st May 2009 at Xperience Bar in Wanchai and will run from 6:30-8:30PM. There will be no charge to attend this event. Drinks will be offered at discounted prices and free snacks will be served.
