Wines, Spies, Torture & Greed! 2016 Seminar - review

Sunday, 31st December 2017 at 10pm

An excellent turn-out at October KonnectioNZ last Friday - the Wines Spies Torture & Greed! 2016seminar - thanks to all those who came.  Given by Auckland University law graduate and HK Barrister Robert Tibbo, Edward Snowden's lawyer and whose role was featured in the Oliver Stone movie Snowden, talked on a variety of current legal topics, and not just Snowden.

Of course the Edward Snowden case was well-covered, including details not earlier released relating to Snowden's tribulations as his story broke in HK in 2013 and his sheltering by self-less asylum seekers. An interesting, thought-provoking and entertaining evening for all and an active Q&A session naturally followed, with many conspiracies being considered!

This popular seminar given by Edward Snowden's HK lawyer has been rescheduled to coincide with the showing of the Oliver Stone directed movie "Snowden" in Hong Kong now, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Nicholas Cage and Clint's son Scott Eastwood.

As reported in the South China Morning Post, Snowden, Greenwald & Poitras donated US$20,000 to the asylum seekers in Hong Kong who sheltered the whistleblower.
You too can donate to these courageous asylum seekers at their GoFundMe page here.
